By-Election Officer in Lytton March 23

Chief Election Officer Bev Kennedy will be at the Resiliency Centre from 1 pm to 4 pm to answer questions and accept nominations for the Village of Lytton Spring By-election. The deadline for nominations is March 25.

Red Cross Case Managers

The Red Cross case managers will be in Lytton from 10 am to 4 pm from March 21-25 to provide personalized supports that help Lytton residents in your recovery.

Right of entry

As debris removal continues, property owners without insurance or who do not have sufficient insurance are reminded to complete a Right of Entry Permit to provide the Village and contractors permission to enter and coordinate clean-up of their property. https://lytton.ca/recovery/wildfire-debris-removal-program/#entry  Work continues south of 1st Avenue.

Community Meeting

The Village of Lytton is hosting a Community Meeting on March 24 to discuss what’s next in the recovery planning. All Lytton residents, business owners and community members are encouraged to attend the virtual meeting to get the latest information from the Village’s Recovery Team, provide feedback and get answers to your questions.

Residents are asked to submit their questions in advance to communication@lytton.ca by Wednesday, March 23. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions live or through the chat during the meeting.

Evacuation Alert lifted for properties

The Evacuation Alert issued by Village of Lytton has been amended.

The areas now downgraded to ALL CLEAR status are:

  • Kumsheen Secondary School – 365 Trans Canada Hwy
  • Pines Motel – 150 Trans Canada Hwy
  • Ponderosa Heights
  • Loring Way
  • Kent Road

A state of local emergency remains in place for the downtown.

Lytton 2022 Budget

Public input into the 2022 Budget will begin March 24. A live Zoom chat is planned for March 31 from 6 pm to 8 pm for public input.
