The Fort Berens Winery fundraiser has raised over $150,000 for the #LyttonStrong campaign. The winery donated 100% of the proceeds of a special edition Pinot Gris to the rebuilding efforts, raising close to $50,000. The fundraiser was also supported through a silent auction and corporate sponsors. The overall campaign goal was to raise $125,000. At this point, just over $ 150,000 was raised.
These funds are planned to support the rebuilding the outdoor pool, a community gathering spot that was built 70 years ago, but damaged during the fire. The funds will support the rebuilding of the facilities, including changing rooms, showers and washrooms.
