At the Regular Council Meeting on Tuesday, April 23, Sergeant Scott Clay, Detachment Commander presented an RCMP update.
Following this, Lytton Council:
- Authorized staff to reimburse property owners in Lytton up to $100 for the purchase of tree(s) with funding to come from general donations. (Read more details, including program criteria below.)
- Authorized staff to issue two change orders to Ecora Engineering and Resource Group Ltd.:
- $2,800.00 plus taxes to complete geotechnical/structural engineering inspections to allow for rebuilding at 220 West Lane, 256 Third Street, and 319, 339, and 279 Main Street;
- $8,590 plus taxes to complete geotechnical review and proctor testing to prepare Zones 7 and NA (Non-Applicable) for backfilling
- Gave first three readings to 2024 Annual Tax Rate Bylaw No. 749, 2024 (Download the presentation).
- Adopted Financial Plan 2024–2028 Bylaw No. 748, 2024
- Authorized staff to issue Temporary Use Permit No. 2024-01 (TUP2024-01) for a temporary housing complex to be inhabited by workers at 1120N Trans Canada Highway subject to several conditions. (Download the presentation.)
- Referred correspondence to staff with a request for staff to bring forward a report to Council about the potential implications of allowing tiny homes in the Village.
