At their Regular Council Meeting on November 22, Council:

  • appointed Councillor Nonie McCann to the Kumsheen Heritage Committee and Councillor Jessoa Lightfoot to the Unmet Needs Committee;

  • approved a program to reduce building permit fees by 50 per cent for property owners rebuilding in Lytton on all properties owned in the Village of Lytton on June 30, 2021 for all building permit applications received before June 30, 2024;

  • received an update from the Recovery Manager;

  • adopted the public notice bylaw, which allows for alternative means of publishing a notice, including the Village’s website and e-newsletter; and

  • directed staff to return in January 2024 with a report to identify the implications for Lytton of the new provincial legislation to support local government housing initiatives and to provide recommendations for Lytton.
