Lytton Fire & Rescue
About
Lytton Fire & Rescue provides fire protection, motor vehicle incident, and medical aid responses to the Village of Lytton and surrounding communities.
The department is staffed by a dedicated team of volunteer firefighters, who respond to emergencies 24/7, 365 days a year.
In addition to emergency services, we also provide home safety inspections, public education, and community outreach.
Mission
The mission of Lytton Fire & Rescue is to minimize the loss of life and property by public education and the ongoing training of Lytton Fire-Rescue personnel using current fire suppression and rescue techniques.

Apply to become a volunteer firefighter
Complete the application, including the PARQ+ (physical activity readiness questionnaire).
Email your completed application to firerescue@lytton.ca.
Alternatively, come to meet the team at the beginning of our weekly training practices held every Thursday at 7 p.m.
Requirements
- 19 years or older
- Physically fit
- Willing to attend weekly training
- Valid driver’s licence
- Criminal record check
